Our History

Michael Fisher and Eileen Pembridge formed Fisher Meredith in 1975.

From humble beginnings, Fisher Meredith steadily grew after opening its first office in Cleaver Street, South London. Offering many legal services including international adoption, housing law, conveyancing, criminal and family law, Fisher Meredith quickly built a strong reputation for taking on particularly complex cases, and winning them in the higher courts.

This reputation as clever, feisty litigators who will fight really hard for clients has remained with us throughout our history.

The firm grew rapidly and moved from the small offices in Stockwell to a purpose-built large office in Kennington in 2004 and opened an office in Richmond town centre in 2010.

In 2011, we now have around a dozen partners, 90 lawyers and are 130 staff in total offering a broad portfolio of services to our clients, whether they be individuals, businesses or organisations
